At a private residence in McLean, Virginia, we installed frameless glass railings in two areas: around the pool and along a waterfall feature. Both areas use the same glass, clamps and hardware finish.
The photo above shows a similar spigot-clamp railing, not this project.
Project at a glance
- Location: a private residence in McLean, Virginia
- Project: outdoor frameless glass railings around a pool and along a waterfall feature
- System: frameless glass panels on spigot clamps
- Glass: clear tempered glass
- Gates: four glass double-door gates, three at the pool and one at the waterfall
- Hardware finish: brushed stainless, including the gate hardware
- Completed: May 2026
The pool railing
Continuous frameless glass panels run along three sides of the pool, including two corner sections. Each of the three sides has its own glass double-door gate, so the pool can be reached from every side. The panels were sized to the approved drawing.
The waterfall railing
Frameless glass panels run along the waterfall feature, with one glass double-door gate for access.
Glass, clamps and gates
The glass is held at the base by brushed stainless spigot clamps: short clamps fixed to the deck rather than a continuous channel. The gates use brushed stainless double-door gate hardware.
How the project ran
We measured on site and confirmed the layout against the approved drawing. The glass was then made to our measurements and installed by our installation team.
