A commercial glass quote moves faster when we can see the space and know a few basics. This checklist covers what to send for office glass, storefronts and entrances, glass replacement in existing frames, and sneeze guards and reception windows.
1. Photos of the space or opening
Send a few wide photos that show the whole area, plus close-ups of where the glass meets the floor, ceiling, walls or existing frame. Phone photos are fine.
2. Rough measurements
Approximate widths and heights are enough for a first quote. If you have several openings, label each one in your photos.
3. Plans, specs or a bid set
General contractors, architects and designers can send drawings, elevations or a bid set with the quote form, and we will price the glass scope from them.
4. A short checklist by project type
Office glass partitions
- Wall lengths and ceiling height
- Number of doors, and swing or sliding
- Lock needs, including any doors on access control
- Hardware finish and any privacy (frosted, smart glass or printed glass)
Aluminum storefronts and entrances
- Opening sizes
- Finish: clear anodized, dark bronze anodized or custom paint
- Glass type, if specified
- Door hardware you need, such as panic devices, closers or pulls
Glass replacement in existing frames
- A photo of the frame and the damaged or fogged glass
- The approximate glass size
- A photo of the label or stamp in the corner of the glass, if there is one
Sneeze guards and reception windows
- Counter length and depth
- How you want it mounted: clamp-mounted, post-mounted or a full enclosure
- Whether you need a pass tray, a speak-through or a sliding transaction window
